With almost three decades of experience in credit management, debt recovery, financial services, and business process outsourcing, Daniel has built a reputation for delivering effective, commercially focused recovery solutions while embracing innovation and technology to enhance client outcomes.

Professional Background

Daniel began his career in 1997 working within the credit control function of global sportswear brand Umbro. Through a combination of operational expertise and strategic leadership, he went on to establish and transform credit control departments across a variety of industries, implementing best-practice processes and technology-driven solutions to improve cash flow and minimise bad debt.

In 2005, Daniel entered the financial claims sector, where he was responsible for creating and managing what became one of the UK's largest collections operations. His success in the industry led to increasing demand for his expertise, culminating in the establishment of Lawton Hathaway in 2009.

Under his leadership, the company experienced rapid growth, recovering more than £72 million per year in revenues within its first four years of trade. This led to instant recognition, including from SagePay who reported in 2012 that Lawton Hathaway was their largest merchant by volume in the service industry.  Today, Daniel oversees the organisation's strategic development, operational performance, technological innovation, and ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
